On average microblading lasts 12 to 18 months depending on skin type, oiliness, sun exposure, and aftercare habits. A 4–6 week touch-up is recommended to perfect pigment and strokes; that follow-up is not included and costs $175.
We use topical numbing to minimize discomfort; most clients describe mild pressure or tugging rather than pain. Sensitivity varies, but the procedure is well tolerated. Aftercare suggestions and over-the-counter pain relief can be recommended if you have a low pain threshold.
Expect initial redness and slight swelling, followed by scabbing and pigment appearing darker. Over two to four weeks the color softens and settles. Avoid heavy sweating, swimming, and makeup on the area while healing. Full results are evaluated at the 4–6 week touch-up.
We can often work over existing permanent makeup, but results depend on previous pigment, color, and placement. A consultation is required to assess whether color correction, lightening, or removal is needed before microblading for the best natural outcome.
Avoid alcohol, aspirin, ibuprofen, and blood-thinning supplements for 48 hours prior. Stop topical retinol and recent brow tinting or waxing for at least two weeks. Arrive with clean brows, natural photos for reference, and inform us of medications or medical conditions.
The 4–6 week touch-up refines strokes, balances pigment, and corrects any areas affected by healing. It finalizes shape and longevity. This follow-up is not included in the initial appointment and is charged separately at $175, scheduled once your brows have healed.
