Get answers to common questions about Upper Eye Liner.
Upper Eye Liner typically lasts one to three years, depending on skin type, sun exposure, and skincare routine. Proper aftercare and the mandatory six-week touch-up help maximize pigment retention and maintain crisp results.
Most clients report minimal discomfort thanks to topical anesthetic applied before and during the procedure. Sensitivity varies; you may feel pressure or light stinging, but the experience is generally tolerable and brief.
Initial appointments include consultation, mapping, numbing, and application and usually take about 60 to 90 minutes. The required six-week touch-up is shorter. Exact duration varies with desired style and individual needs.
Avoid blood-thinning medications (when medically appropriate), alcohol, aspirin, heavy exercise, and certain skincare products like retinol or chemical peels. Disclose medications and medical history during your consultation for safety.
A mandatory touch-up is scheduled about six weeks after the initial session to refine pigment and correct any fading. This follow-up is not included in the initial price and costs an additional $150.
Avoid eye makeup on or near the treated area until fully healed, typically 7–10 days. After healing, use clean applicators. Follow aftercare guidelines to prevent infection and preserve pigment quality.
